Cozy Green

September 2, 2007 / by MentalHealthRN

I'm getting my  guest bedroom ready for my step-sister who will come and stay with me for a week.  She lives in  Florida and only gets up here about twice a year.

When Lynell comes to visit, I pull out the lavender comforter, sheets, etc.  I am using green for K~.

( this isn't mine, but I love the cozy feel)

The guest room is about this size.

I'm trying to think of extra things to make it cozy, but not cluttered.  Here's what I have, please add if you think of anything that would make it special.

Family photos, a small narrow bookshelf that goes up to the ceiling. It has books on art, women, religion, mysteries ( the copy of Jondude's book is by the bed), a few catalogs of "weird but cool" things to buy, a feather comforter on top of the mattress, the carpet is white, but was steamed on Thursday, and bought three small rugs for both sides of the bed and the foot.  Air fresheners are stuffed under the bed, a nice big hook to hang clothes on on the back of the door ( no closet), crystals hanging from the windows.. when the sun comes in, it makes rainbows all over the room....

That's all I can think off.. I need to put a small alarm clock in there.... anything else?

Sounds wonderful! Do you take reservations? Is there a clock/ radio in the room? Some people like to fall asleep or wake up to music. You really go all out for your guests, Cindy. I can't imagine why she doesn't come more often. Take care. [HEART]

One of the things that I find enticing about the female gender is the thoughtfulness as pertains to environment. Men don't really go to that place very often... but a woman... WOW... you think, color, comfort, compatibility, coziness and congeniality. Your heart warms my heart. [SMILE][HEART]

I always make a little basket with odds and ends in it like soap and cream. Just something sweet. It's fun to do that. Where does Lynell live in FL. Is it near me?[SMILE]
