The Finger

Remember the finger?
Remember they told me it would be $16,000.00 for one hr in the O.R.?
Remember they told me if I paid cash it would be $8,000.00 ++ ?
Remember I went in and asked for an itemized statement, they couldn't give me one prior to  surgery, so they dropped it to $6,650.00 cash?

OK, I got the itemized bill today.
( this does not include the doctor's bill, which is very reasonable.)

Department                                                      Amount
Operating room                                              $8,293.74

                                                 Payment ---     $6,650.00

Adjustment--(write off)        $5,240.37

Balance---->   -0-

Remember, this does not include the physic an bill,
 I was never very good at math, can someone help me here?

    Oooooo, I might forget for a moment that I am a Southern Lady...and give them "the finger".[BLUSH] We have a saying here in the hills. Goes something like this: "That just ain't right." Perhaps a letter to the editor of your local newspaper with the figures included might get some attention. Worth a try. (Glad the finger is better!!)[HEART]

    When I get 'riled', I fire letters everywhere. I once got angry when the disability office at OU tried to renege on a committment to pick up Holly's tuition and room and board due to her shriveled kidney and asthma. I'll have to do a blog on that, but I got results! [LOL][BLUSH][THUMBUP]
