Today a received a phone call and on my caller ID read..... 0-000-000-0000. I googled this and there are all kinds of tales as to WHO this is. From the government to evil spirits, everyone guess but no one seems to really know.

That is almost impossible to answer... off the top of my head- Pathurdreams, Docrock, Grumpy, Bob, Retiredone.... oh my. Again, that is impossible to answer!!

...umm. But I don't know how to block a number. If I have that service, then I have never used it.

My friends used it on their cell phones whenever they prank called or called ex-boyfriends. I'm not sure what it is, cause I've never used it either, but I know you dial something like *67 before you dial the number you want to call...its something like that. Maybe it just makes the caller idea come up all zeroes? I dunno, I should have a friend block their number and call me or something.

I've gotten "totally 0" phone numbers, and 888-888-8888. The bottom of my ID display says "blocked number" on it. LOL, another one I get and I get hysterical....the phone rings, I look at the display, and it says "RING", that's it, just "RING"! lol
The mystery will continue...
... how weird is that? Some of the younger blogsters have to know what this is.
How weird!!! I have been receiving the same calls. I would not answer them 'cause I figured they were political calls. Maybe I'd better answer the next time, especially if it's God.
I get those on my phone too! Can't figure them out either.

To send a blocked call, dial *67 and then the phone number. The caller ID will come up as Private. The call will still show up on your monthly cell phone itemized call list.
Bonus for today: If you are listening to your cell phone voice mails and you have the option to hit a key and return that call, it shows up as either private or unknown on the other person's called ID, AND it shows up as a call to voicemail on your bill. No record of that call.

I'm going to remember that *67. I wanted to call back some of these strange callers to find out who the heck they are and what they want, but I never wanted them to see who was calling. Now I can do some sleuthing!
