Here's my dog Bruce. He wanted to eat an Easter egg. I'm afraid I will be paying for it later. (If you know what I mean...)

I don't know if you guys play any games during your Easter Egg hunt-- we had a short game of softball, an egg toss with uncooked eggs and a spoon game. ( where you run around with the spoon and egg in you mouth to cross the finish line.) A fun time was had by all.

I never played games during Easter Egg hunts. Egg toss with uncooked eggs......YIKES! Who got egged??
I won my race.... and my ooldest daughter got egged!!! LOL
I'm way too clumsy to run around with an uncooked egg in a spoon. I KNOW what the outcome would be!!! Happy Easter.
it was amazing how much balance I mustered when I thought I would crack on egg on my face. LOLOL <3
what a beautiful dog
He is adorable!

We have something called "Egg Fights" up in Peters Hollow on Easter. The idea is to tap your egg (hard boiled!) on top of someone elses and see if you can crack theirs without cracking your own. Then it's their turn to do the same to your egg... Yes I know, it's odd, but they've been Egg Fighting up in these hills for 185 years...
...that sounds like a fine art. I still have some eggs, might give it a try. ( kinda like marbles... well. kinda.)
All my Easter eggs turned into deviled eggs this year!
As for cute Bruce, I'd suggest a can of Oust air freshener and keep him away from the candles!
I pretty much feed my Llasa whatever he wants. Mostly he just wants some of my peanut butter sandwiches... I have never given him an egg... because... well... he hasn't ask yet. hmmm
I love Bruce! What a beauty! I hope he enjoyed the egg and that you didn't suffer too much for it!
I love egg toss games! Messy, but fun and lots of laughs! I've done the spoon and egg race thing, too, but we don't hold the spoons in our mouths...we hold the spoons by the very tips of the handles in one hand while the other hand is behind the back...and we race to the finish line. (We always did this because my mom was always afraid that someone might fall and a spoon in the mouth could cause considerable injury... racers tend to focus on the spoon and egg, and not on the ground where the holes and twigs and things might be.)
We also played a "crack an egg" (hard boiled) on the head sort of game, too, but I don't quite remember how it goes. I see a comment by jwrone that might be the game I'm thinking of.
Another game with an egg and spoon that we played whenever the ground wasn't wet. We got down on all fours, a spoon in each person's mouth (yeah, Mom gave in for this one), an egg per person on the ground and all lined up behind a starting line. We then would race on all four's as we pushed and rolled the eggs forward toward a finish line. The first person to get his/her egg across the finish line was the winner. Kids got to race on pretty flat ground in a straight line. Adults raced on bumpy and rutty ground and the "course" zig-zagged" and curved with some uphill areas. (Lots of laughs.)
Bruce sure is handsome. I just love dogs... all breeds of dogs. I became a teacher, but I really think I missed the boat by not becoming a veterinarian. I'm glad you had such a great Easter.
I've been missing you lately, Cindy. Do stop by and say hello.
Your friend - Annie L :o)
never played games with the egg hunt.....do have to say that I would end up with raw egg on me, with that game with the spoon. But my bigger concern would be that I would trip and fall, and ram that spoon down my throat (or through the back of it!) I'm just that graceful!
aww, look at Bruce! lol he is so cute.. my man was ready for that egg wasn't he? that's so kool that you all played games.. sounds like a great time!! xxx
Hi
HEY my dear old friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think you will be fine with the raw egg. It is actually a good source of protien for dogs. Cheap fix for when you run out of dog food and you are too lazy to go to the store is mix 2 raw eggs with some torn up bread for a dogs dinner. I have done this with at least 4 of my dogs over my lifetime. They LOVE it and it does not affect even the most sensitive tummies...
