That's not me. I am not a rainy day person and we are having thunder storms here day after day it seems.
Folks here don't know how to drive in the rain. If a traffic light is out at a four way intersection, you treat it as if it were a four way stop sign, right? Nope, it's the Indy 500 here.
I know there are folks here from Seattle, etc.... how in the world do you ever get use to all this dreary weather?
I'm use to being in the sun everyday and going to an even sunnier place on weekends.
Hats off to you folks.... how do you do it?

I'll take the rainy day over the icy ones! Sometimes rainy days give us time to reflect, look inward and just relax.
People defintiely ignorethe fact that it is raining sometimes. You have to wonder where their sanity is.

Haha. NO ONE ANYWHERE KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IN THE RAIN. Oh geez. Rainy days can be used for cleaning the house...I'm always cleaning my house...they can also be used for snuggling and watching a good movie, if you dig something like that...I personally, totally do. Or paint.
...umm,maybe rearrange some furniture, huh?
It's stormy here today too. When it rains in Nashville, it's an insurance seminar with all the wrecks.
I would rather have the rain, then the snow.
Not sure where they are going to move it.
The driveway is getting smaller and smaller.
We still have free snow.
You want some?free shipping.
"how in the world do you ever get use to all this dreary weather?"
Having lived on Canada's Vancouver Island (rain forest area) for 26 1/2 years I can say quite unequivocally that you don't! You whine and complain about it. You dream of moving to a drier climate. You pull on the wool sweaters, socks and slippers. You don't buy hats or coats that aren't waterproof. But you NEVER get used to it. We get up in the morning and we don't say, "Is it raining, again?" We say, "Is it still raining?"
A rainy day or two in between the nice days gives us a time to look at things in a different way and to maybe use the time to do things one wouldn't want to do on a nice day, like cleaning or mending. They're usually good days for cooking, reading, working on a hobby, etc., but everyone really should learn how to drive in the stuff in they're going to do it!
The rain is better than too much snow, as long as it's not causing floods. And, it's certainly better than ice...known as the "dreaded frozen rain". We can all complain and many will not get used to it, but look how much it makes us appreciate the good days when we get them!
God bless Gordon Lightfoot for giving us a great song for the sorts of days you been having! Maybe this will ease your mind, Cindy —

they've been down like you.
Rainy day people don't mind
if you're cryin' a tear or two.
If you get lonely, all you really need is that rainy day love.
