| What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. |

As for my results:
Your Result: The Inland NorthYou may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." (FYI: No one has ever asked me those questions, but I DO call such drinks "pop"!)
Thanks, Cindy! It was fun....
Thanks Martne. <3
I always knew you could have been another Katie Couric!!
Mine came out Midland also, but with a much higher slant toward the south--and you're the one who lives in the deep South!! Actually, in Oklahoma, we call all carbonated drinks "cokes".
When I took the quiz a new catagory popped up. Said I was North Georgia Hill Billy! Wow...those things are very smart.
I am from Singapore. I speak Singlish which some Singaporeans frown upon. So some Singaporeans try to speak like Americans. Your quiz should have another category like say Asian City Cowboy or something like that.
This looks like fun. I will have to give it a try. One of the problems is that I often blog with a cowboy accent and then I find myself talking like that in real life. Jenn says I belong in Texas. She may be right. I even think with that accent. lol
Been missin' ya'll. I haven't seen much of you at my blog.
Love & hugs - Annie :o)
